During the shooting of Aisha (2010) in Mumbai, Anand Tiwari witnessed a couple fighting in the middle of Carter Road in Mumbai, while he was heading to Bandra in a local train, where the same couple boarded the train and the fight continued in the train and they passionately hugged after that. He eventually stated as "the journey of love between Bandra and Mumbai Central" in an interview later, further adding that: "I always wanted to show relationships as they happen, as opposed to how they are shown in films".[5]

Dipti Kahrude of The Quint wrote "In popular culture, millennial lives are almost synonymous with galloping digitization. Love Per Square Foot instead directs its gaze on the middle class realities and aspirations of millennials living with their parents in cramped houses, with no privacy of bedrooms of their own. It bracingly avoids defining them merely by technology. The film may not break thrilling new ground with its subject but the observational humour in the dialogue, the bevy of supporting characters, earnest performances and an assured directorial debut make it worth a watch."[25] Rajat Tripathi of Bollywood Life gave 3.5 out of 5 and wrote "If you are a love bug, Love Per Square Foot will certainly tug at your heartstrings and make you feel giddy. It is the perfect romantic film that we were waiting for. It is the cutest film that has released in the longest time. However, if you are not a sucker for romance, you might want to avoid it."

The book was so clearly laid out and easy to follow, which was exactly what I needed as a gardening newbie! Because square foot gardening breaks your garden up into 1 foot squares, you literally only have to focus on one square at a time. As silly as it might sound, this made gardening feel manageable to me.

This is the first year I have attempted square foot gardening. I like your idea of the plywood templates. Sure does take the guesswork out of spacing the seeds and seedlings. I think I will have to do some sweet talking to my honey. to make some templates for me. *smile*

I square-foot garden. I have onions, carrots, lettuce, garlic, and radish coming up in my beds already. I am making one of those templates for sure! I like the idea of the dowels, especially since with them, I can control the depth of planting precisely.

Thank you for posting this!!!!

We are a small group of South Floridians who share a love of organic gardening, cooking and leading a healthy lifestyle. We garden together in Miami on a weekly basis year round, and enjoy the labor, harvest and feeling of community that this provides us. We are learning together what it means to grow food in South Florida, with our unique climate and seasons, which are so different than the rest of the country. This website is a venture in sharing information and resources relevant to gardening (and enjoying the harvest) in our South Florida environment. We hope you will find it useful!

I am planting radicchio for the first time in my square foot garden. How many did you plant per square? Any tips on growing it?

Also, when you harvest your arugula, do you just cut off the outer leaves so that it keeps growing?

Parents need to know that Love per Square Foot is a romantic comedy made in India with some rousing "Bollywood" musical numbers. Some characters speak English, others speak Hindi, with subtitles. Up-to-date conflicts involving cultural differences and the young adult desire for home ownership take center stage. It's a typical boy-meets girl, boy-loses girl, boy-gets-girl-back plot with no real surprises, but the journey to a happy ending is fun, if in need of some judicious editing at more than two hours in length. There's no overt sexuality or nudity; however, sexual elements -- such as infidelity and "will they or won't they? -- drive the plot. Expect kissing, romance, and some comic seduction sequences. A few swear words ("s--t," "Jesus") are heard, along with some sexual conversations (reference to erection, "screwing"). Continuing humor comes from plaster falling from the ceiling in one home, the result of noisy lovemaking in an upstairs apartment. Characters drink alcoholic beverages in social settings. For fans of the colorful, spirited Bollywood style of Indian filmmaking, the movie won't disappoint. More than anything in the world, Sanjay (Vicky Kaushal) wants to own his own home in LOVE PER SQUARE FOOT. Sanjay is claustrophobic in his parents' small apartment and working hard as a tech engineer at Centrum, a major financial institution in Mumbai. Plus, his role as "the other man" in the life of his beautiful but self-absorbed boss is terribly unsatisfying. To have a house would symbolize both his independence and the fact that he's "made it" in the boisterous clamor of the city. Karina (Angira Dhar), who doesn't know Sanjay as the story opens, works in accounting on the second floor of Centrum and has the same aspirations. Living in a tiny apartment with her single mom and being engaged to a man of substantial means, but not-so-substantial emotional prowess, is, at best, a compromise. Lucky for both, a local lottery is in play -- applicants who can come up with a down payment have a chance to win the right to buy a small but extremely desirable apartment in a new building. The only catch is applying couples must be married. Lucky again, the two do meet, and though they're wary at first, they come up with a way to make their dreams come true: a marriage of convenience. But the significant others in their lives are appalled at such an idea -- particularly since the two are from different religions, which is a non-starter under any circumstances. What follows is an on-again, off-again journey to both home ownership and love ... with lots of obstacles along the way.

So kind of you to share your beautiful space!! Our family of four lived in 600 square feet for ten years. Our home was functional, but not as adorable ? I can see where Melissa gets her wonderful style from.

still in love with the kitchen back splash tile and the deep window sills are brilliant for display space. Are there built in lamps by the beds for reading in bed? Also love the added height to the privacy grid/fence on the neighbor side of the deck.

Absolutely beautiful and amazing! I love the wall plate with the bird, among a lot of other things! It reminds me of the Pa Dutch patterns that are popular here in PA. Wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We picked location over square footage. When we moved from Utah to Connecticut #1 on our search list was location. We wanted to live in an area with great public schools, walkable community and a short drive to NYC, oh and a short walk to the beach. Really I knew that we could make ANY house a place we love no matter the size. Honestly. And I believe everyone can do that too.

Oh man this has been a big learning curve for me. I use to keep it all! Cards, all the baby clothes, all the home decor that had meaning. Once I brought it the 2,000 miles when we moved and saw how much work it was to pack it, put it in the truck, pay for drivers, unload the truck (just Kevin, myself and my lovely sister in the freezing cold) and then find a spot in the new house for said items. I learned how much I was SERVING these pieces. Rather then letting it serve me with joy, it became a burden. I went through and picked out a few keepsake articles of clothing and blankets. I put each item in a ziplock bag inside a plastic storage container. I giveaway old clothes now rather than saving anything.

I like to say that we entertain in the the warmer months. But we have had birthday parties for both of my daughters with about 12 friends and it was a success! They both requested these parties and at first I was hesitant thinking where will 12 noisy, bouncy girls all fit?? Or if the parents bring them to our homes and see how small our house is will they question WHY are we doing a party here? Quickly pushed that thinking aside #nottodaysatan and said YES to the child who was proud to have her friends into her cozy home that she loves with all her heart.

We do love to get together with friends in our backyard, one of our favorite places to gather. This space is an extension of our home. (See more HERE). And our new play set has been a hit for the kids this time of year!

Thank you for covering so much insights! Always fun to see your Style and Ideas. What are the Girls wrapping in ob e of the last photos? I#m on a hunt for birthday games lately, bc my Girl has a birthday Party soon.

Wishing you a lovely week

We downsized to this 1,400 square foot house in Northwest Florida on May of 2020 after a fast, furious, and long-distance three-month renovation. You can read more about how we found ourselves craving a pared-down lifestyle for our family here and here (that last one is a really good synopsis of what led us to this exact spot). But onward to the before & after pictures!

Every inch matters in smaller spaces like this, so the built-in bookshelf we made is really functional too. That foot or so of floor space along that wall works so much harder for us now! You can also see that we added some colorful painted horizontal planking along that side wall.

I also moved the basil and other herbs to patio planters where I could easily access them from the kitchen and Alicia incorporated them as a decor item for our new cozy outdoor living space and created some DIY herb markers. Plus, it made our patio smell amazing. If you can find Greek basil plants, get some, they are amazing! I planted pots of sage, Greek basil, a few varieties of oregano, rosemary, dill, purple basil, as well as some lavender. Zoe loved picking sprigs off each and smelling them (and of course, she made everyone else smell them too!). e24fc04721
