There is no cost to being listed on this site - but please support the Penistone community by using the High Street Shops (shop local), using local businesses when possible and supporting Penistone events such as the Penistone Show and Penistone Gala - both these events are always seeking advertisers and volunteers.

Penistone Agricultural Show

Penistone Agricultural Show is one of the country's greatest one day agricultural shows. A centrepiece in Penistone's annual calendar, the show is run by 100% by volunteers who love and support their beloved town. Something for the whole family no matter what age, Penistone Show is not to be missed.

We ring the 8 bells at St John's Church, Penistone. Practice night is Thursday 7:30. Visitors and learners are welcome.

The Penistone Area Team are part of Barnsley Council 'Safer, Stronger and Healthier Communities' working with the communities covered by the Penistone East and Penistone West Wards. Our role is to work with local people to improve our area and the quality of life for people who live here. Penistone Footpath Runners

The Footpath Runners (seniors) meet twice a week at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday at Penistone Church Football Club. The juniors meet just on Tuesday nights at the same time and location as the senior members.

We meet on Monday nights at St John's Community Centre in Penistone from 19:45 to 21:45. New members are always welcome. We don't audition and you will be given support to develop your singing voice.

Penistone Paramount is the premier entertertainment spot for Penistone. An independent cinema run by Penistone Council with up to date facilities and resources whilst retaining that community feel. A must visit for films, music and other live events. You have not experienced Penistone without experiencing the Penistone Paramount.
