Pradyumna Kumar Mahanandia (Born in 1949) is an Indian-born Swedish artist famous for his journey by a second hand bicycle from New Delhi to Bors[2][3] in 1977 to meet the love of his life, Charlotte Von Schedvin.[4]

While studying in Delhi College of Art, he shot to fame in portraiture by drawing the portrait of Indira Gandhi. He sought permission from the authorities to sit under the holy fountain at Connaught Place and draw portraits.[6] It is here that he met Von Schedvin on 17 December 1975. She was a student in London who had driven all the way to India in a van for 22 days and went to visit PK to have her portrait done. That portrait changed their lives as they fell in love with each other and married. Von Schedvin had to return to Sweden and asked Pradyumna to come with her, but he decided that one day he would go on his own.After she left, the two kept in touch through letters.

Mahanandia is well known in Sweden as an artist and works as an adviser of art and culture for the Swedish government. His paintings have been exhibited in major cities of the world and have found places in the prestigious UNICEF greeting cards. On 4 January 2012, he was awarded an honorary doctorate degree (Degree of Honoris Causa) from Utkal University of Culture (UUC) in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha. He was also designated as the Odia Cultural ambassador to Sweden by the Government of Odisha.[7] In 2010, Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was planning to make a film on the love story of Mahanandia and Von Schedvin.[8]

Love in London is an upcoming Odia movie that promises to be a romantic action thriller with a twist. The movie features Anubhav Mohanty as Prem, a young man who is searching for his true love Sofia (played by Swapna Priyadarshini), with the help of his childhood friend Shweta (played by Somya Sachdeva). However, Shweta is also secretly in love with Prem and tries to sabotage his quest for Sofia. The movie is directed by Tapas Sargharia and produced by Naveen Bhandari and J Barkha.

One fine day PK took a strong decision to move to Sweden to meet his love but he does not has money even for Air Ticket, he sold out all his belongings and bought a second hand cycle. Only carrying all his paints and brushes along with him and started his journey to meet his love, for that he can sacrifice anything and everything. From New Delhi to Amritsar, Afghanistan, Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Germany, Austria and Denmark and finally reached at Gothenburg, Sweden. It tooks him Four Months, 3weeks to complete his journey on 28th May 1977. During his journey his cycle broke down many times, he travelled many days without even taking foods. But he was so convicted every obstacle was no mean for him.

Bhai (The Opening Part) odia movie is going to be released in 2023. But the exact release date of this movie is yet to be declared. But from different sources, we have assumed that the movie will hit the box office in mid-June at the time of Raja Festivals in Odisha.
