About Me

Hi there! I am Louis, a fifth year grad student at Penn State. I am interested in algebraic geometry and algebraic dynamics and my advisor is John Leseiutre. 

I was born and raised in Los Angeles and I completed my undergrad at UCSD and masters at CSULA. 

Apart from algebraic geometry, I was part of the Math GSA at Penn State. I was the Social Media Manager and was the Vice President of Membership. I also participate in the Directed Reading Program at Penn State (a program run by the undergraduate math club). If you would like to chat about (-1)-curves or intersections of curves, reach out to me and we can work something out! 

I also enjoy playing/watching soccer, cooking, and spending time with my dog. I'm open to try new sports and cuisines. I haven't had the time lately but I really enjoy bouldering and making Salvadoran food!
