When is the next summer camp?

July 20-24, 2026

What age groups can be involved? 

We will have 2 orchestas this year:

• Level 1 VG Orchestra will be for rising 7th and 8th graders, featuring easier arrangements of music

• Level 2 VG Orchestra will be for rising 8th to 12th graders, featuring more difficult arrangements of music

Is the camp only for students in Loudoun?

NO! This camp is open to all strings students rising 7th grade and up! All we require is at least 1 years experience on a strings instrument

What instruments can sign up?

This camp is for orchestral string students, so if you play violin, viola, cello, or double bass, you're good to sign up!

What about wind and brass instruments?

At the moment, we are limiting the camp to just strings. We do want to invite wind and brass students at some point to our camp, however we want it to be a postive experience, thus we need to expand other areas first.

Is there financial assistance?

We never want lack of funds to be the reason a student cannot participate. Therefore, please reach out to us if you need financial assistance. We offer partial and full registration coverage for families who need it.

What if I dont have an instrument?

If we are notified at least a month in advanced, we will attempt to have an instument that you can use for the event but we cannot promise it.

What is the schedule for each day?

Coming soon! Last year included a morning rehearsal, a lunch break, and then some afternoon sectionals and/or an afternoon rehearsal.

What is a 'Jam'?

A video game music jam is a collaborative experience where musicians come together to improvise on top of famous game melodies. Often players have little to no rehearsal, and use leads sheets and/or chord charts to play together. Its part performance, part creative hang out!

Can I volunteer?

Yes! We love volunteers! Please fill out this google form and we will reach out if we have an oppurtunity that fits your skill set.

Do you host other events?

We plan to add other video game music events throughout the year eventually, like VGM jams, however we are focusing out attention on making our 2026 camp the best it can be.
