This Privacy Policy explains how the Bass Booster mobile application ("Loudify", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android app (the "Service").
By installing or using Bass Booster, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Bass Booster is published by the developer of the Bass Booster Android app. The simplest way to reach us is by email at dworarena@gmail.com, or via Settings → Privacy Policy inside the app.
We collect only the data needed to run, improve, and personalize Bass Booster.
When you sign in with Google or email, we collect:
Your email address
Your display name (if provided by Google)
The sign-in provider you used (Google, Email, or Anonymous)
A unique account identifier (UID) generated by Firebase Authentication
You can use Bass Booster without signing in by selecting "Continue as Guest" on the sign-in screen. In guest mode, no email or personally identifying account information is collected by our servers.
To power streaks, the Sound DNA personalization, the listening journal, and habit-time notification timing, we record:
Number of boost sessions and total active time
The audio profile you select most often (Music, Movie, Podcast, Gaming)
An hour-of-day histogram of when you typically listen
Daily streak count and peak streak
Loud-listening exposure minutes (for the hearing-protection feature)
Speaker Care session count
Calibration timestamps
Event markers: "free cap hit", "Sound DNA ready", subscription state changes
This data is stored under your Firebase UID if you are signed in, or only locally on your device (in Android SharedPreferences) if you are in guest mode.
If you subscribe to Bass Booster Premium, we record:
Your subscription status (active, trial, cancelled, expired, none)
Your plan (weekly or monthly)
Trial-end and expiration timestamps
The provider (Google Play)
Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card number, billing address, or any other financial information.
If you use the in-app Invite Friends feature, we record:
A stable per-install identifier (a randomly generated UUID — not your device's IMEI or advertising ID)
A Firebase UID that identifies the friend who invited you (if any)
The total count of friends you have invited
This lets us credit your reward when your friends install through your link. We do not collect or transmit your contact list, address book, or any information about anyone you invite.
To deliver and troubleshoot the Service, we collect basic technical metadata:
Device language (used to localize the app)
Android version and device model
Anonymous Firebase installation ID
Crash reports and anonymous analytics events (via Firebase Analytics)
Bass Booster does not record, store, or transmit your audio.
The app applies digital signal processing — equalization, bass boost, loudness enhancement, 3D virtualization — to the audio output of other apps on your device, in real time, entirely locally. No audio data leaves your device. No audio is captured or logged at any time during normal operation.
The optional Speaker Calibration feature (Premium) requests microphone access to play a controlled test tone through your speakers and measure the response. The microphone input is processed locally on your device; audio samples are not transmitted, stored, or retained after the calibration session ends.
We use your information to:
Provide the Service — apply audio enhancements, save your preferences, sync your subscription
Personalize the experience — Sound DNA learns your preferred profile, the dashboard surfaces your streak and milestones
Communicate with you — send transactional emails (welcome, weekly Sound DNA, trial-ending, etc.) if you have provided your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Improve the app — anonymous crash and performance analytics inform development priorities
Process referrals — credit you and your friends when invites convert into installs
Maintain safety — the hearing-protection feature analyzes your listening exposure to warn you of risky levels
Comply with legal obligations — including responding to lawful requests from authorities
We do not sell or rent your personal data to advertisers or third parties.
