When are Canadian lottery draws held?
Each national game has its own draw nights, and provincial games run on their own timetable on top of them. Knowing the schedule is the simplest way to know when a ticket is worth checking.
Lotto Max is drawn on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Lotto 6/49 is drawn on Wednesday and Saturday. Daily Grand is drawn on Monday and Thursday. Provincial games such as Ontario 49, Quebec Max and the Atlantic games sit alongside these with their own nights, and several regions also run daily keno-style draws.
When do the winning numbers appear?
Numbers are usually published within minutes to about an hour after the draw closes. If you are checking late in the evening, refresh once - the first posting is sometimes the raw draw before the prize breakdown is added.
That gap is normal: the numbers themselves are confirmed quickly, while the payout table for each prize tier takes longer to finalise. A page can therefore show correct numbers and an incomplete breakdown at the same time.
