Littering continues to affect communities across South Africa. From beaches and parks to streets and public spaces, waste is often left behind and ignored. Over time, this damages the environment, harms wildlife, and reduces the quality of the places we all share.

Founded by Alexa Christen Joseph, LOTM SA (Leave No Trace Movement South Africa) is a youth-led initiative focused on personal responsibility and accountability.

This movement was created to encourage a shift in mindset. Rather than placing responsibility solely on systems, organisations, or authorities, LOTM SA promotes the idea that meaningful change begins with individual actions.

Every choice we make has an impact. By taking responsibility for our actions and caring for the spaces around us, we can contribute to cleaner and more respectful communities.
