I am currently on the job market!
Hi! My name is Lorenzo (he/him). I am a Postdoc at KTH in the Combinatorics group. My mentor is Petter Brändén.
In November 2023, I have obtained my Phd at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Bologna under the supervision of Luca Moci and Luca Migliorini.
My thesis was on The Combinatorics of Hilbert–Poincaré series of matroids.
I am broadly interested in the interplay between Combinatorics, Algebraic Geometry and Representation Theory. In particular, I have been recently thinking about posets, matroids, Chow rings, Kazhdan–Lusztig–Stanley polynomials and related positivity questions, valuative invariants in polytopes and Schubert coefficients of matroids.

New preprint out! The Poincaré polynomial of the type B analogue of M̅_0,n+1
I will be presenting a talk based on Chow polynomials of totally nonnegative matrices and posets at FPSAC 2026!
Our Chow classes of matroids and standard Young tableaux got accepted for a poster at FPSAC 2026!
