Lorenzo Vecchi

Hi! My name is Lorenzo (he/him). I am a Postdoc at KTH in the Combinatorics group under the supervision of Petter Brändén.

In November 2023, I have obtained my Phd at the Department of Mathematics of the  University of Bologna under the supervision of Luca Moci and  Luca Migliorini.

My thesis was on The Combinatorics of Hilbert–Poincaré series of matroids.

I am broadly interested in the interplay between Combinatorics, Algebraic Geometry and Representation Theory. In particular, I have been recently thinking about matroids, Chow rings, Kazhdan–Lusztig–Stanley polynomials and related positivity questions, valuative invariants in polytopes and Schubert coefficients of matroids.
