The LOOP CROSS S1 was our number one selling rod for 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, and 2016. It outsold all SAGE and Winston models. The SAGE X became our number one seller in 2017 and holds that spot in 2018.
As the owner of this company, I have owned the best rods on the planet and I believe that the CROSS S1 is one of the most remarkable rods I have ever fished. ( I still own the first Custom Cross S1 9' 6 wt. ever made and fish it regularly) It is simply outstanding! A five weight rod with a lifting break point that is higher than 40 kilos is just remarkable! This rod will bend in almost a complete U with a huge fish on the line and not think twice about it. Imagine doing that with a graphite fly rod that also generates high line speed and casts like a dream. Counter-intuitive isn't it? This is a rod that you can feel load effortlessly and casts as far with a single haul as most people can cast with a double! A beautiful rod made with American components. A light rod that is both beautiful in design and performance and has great -- (Are you ready for this?) ----- durability! No, you cannot slam it in a car door but I cannot envision it breaking under normal fishing pressures.

The LOOP CROSS S1 also came in spey rods as well as single hand rods (including a 7 weight switch rod) ! The S1 series comes in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. 9, 10, 11 and 12 weight single hand rods. They also come in 6 and 7 weight switch rods and 7, 8, 9, and 10 weight double hand rods.
