Mods by Lord2nz - Latest version 30th January 2022
My main mod is referred to as the Octagon Mod as it started off as a very simple mod that allowed me to disable parts of the Dodecagon arena for my MMA matches. This later evolved into disabling elements that were typically common requests on the Custom Textures channel of the ModPack Discord.
I then began watching Carlzillas tutorials and asking questions in the mod programming forum to add additional match types including exploding cage matches, no rope exploding cage matches and time bomb landmine matches.
Finally I started tweaking about the the match and AI Parameters to add a few QoL features for how I run my Fire Pro games.
Installation Instructions
Download the zip file from this link and extract the files into your main Fire Pro directory. This is usually \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fire Prowrestling World. The zip file will extract the OctagonMod.dll to your \FireProWrestlingW_Data\Managed section, along with creating a folder called 2nzmods in your RingMats folder and placing some sound files in your ModpackData/Sounds/Cheers folder (this will overwrite HolyShit and FightForever if you have previously replaced them).
Using the PWGR Patcher check the check box for the OctagonMod.dll. All my mods are set to be automatically included so you will not need to check any further boxes. Patch this into your game. Everything should compile correctly and the patcher will close.
Now load Fire Pro as normal and a New Menu should show up in your Modpack window once the game has loaded.
New Updates - 30th January 2022
The latest version of the mod adds the following features;
Change Octagon Textures - allows you to change the textures of the Dodecagon in gruesome matches. This covers all aspects including the cage wire textures, colour of the posts and the outer ring. You can already swap out mat textures using Carlzillas mod.
Wrestlers stay in ring during entrances - this allows wrestlers to remain in the ring after their introduction and won't step out when other wrestlers make their entrance. By default this works with singles and tag matches in all arenas.
Pitfighter Tweaks - You can now turn off the explosions caused by whipping your opponents into the cage. Sound and damage replaced with standard cage. You can also now set a timer that will cause the ring to explode like a barbed wire match. The aftermath also removes the cage frame from the match.
Backstage Brawls/Remove Ring - Tweaked the Z positions of wrestlers, referees and weapons. This means you can use freecam angles better and objects won't be floating in an invisible ring. There is a glitch with some shadows, which I hope to tweak in future releases.
Ring Full of Weapons - The match will start with 8 weapons in the ring. Works on any match type.
Alternate Weapon Placement - This is a tweak that removes the random rotation element during weapon placement. This was designed for some of my unique weapons like light tube stacks so that they display at the games default angle and look better in-game.
Barbed Light Boards - Yo! I heard you liked wire... so we added wire to you lightubes! This adds barbed wire to the corner boards and still allows you to pull tubes from it. 100% aesthetic.
Exploding Chairs and Tubes - Summon your inner Onita with chair and light tubes shots that have a chance of triggering explosions. The rate is linked to the opponents health and the lower the health the bigger the bang. With light tubes there is a set trigger point in health so that they only occur towards the end of matches.
Fight No More - The opposite of the Fight Forever Mod. At a set time in the match all wrestlers health and spirit will drop to below Large damage level meaning the match could finish with the next big move. Great for simming quick squashes or random shoot finishes.
Take it Home - Click this button once and all current wrestlers will lose their health and sprit meaning the next pin or submission will win the match.
18th October 2021 - Updates
The latest version of the mod adds the following features;
Pit Fight Match - This is a match inspired by the ICW NHB Pit events. The game will load up a modified version of the Dodecagon arena that will be littered with weapons and an electrified cage. Users can adjust the floor, cage outside and cage links textures (which are also scalable) by overwriting the existing PNG files in the 2nzmod folder found in RingMats. A readme can also be found in this folder.
Fight Forever Boost - This mod gives all wrestlers a spirit and HP boost at the timings you set. This is designed to not just make matches longer but also to have bigger peaks and troughs to matches events as wrestlers AI will cycle back between S,M,L damage again. Works great with extended moveslists! You will know the mod has triggered when the crowd start chanting "Fight Forever!". You can also replace the Cheer files for each arena with your own chants. If not the generic Fire Pro "Asshole" chant fires off.
Change Barbed Wire Sounds - In a standard barbed wire match this turns off explosions and replaces the whipped into sound ropes with barbed wire impact. Use with Carls Barbed Wire mods to have a traditional Texas slobberknocker.
Remove Wire Keep Table - removes the barbed wire from the corners in landmine deathmatches, but keeps the table. Means you can texture swap with Change landmine boards to have tables, or exploding electric heaters or whatever other crazy shit you wanna make.
No Dragging near ropes - this disables the AI from dragging the opponent away from the ropes at any point. This was more designed for use in deathmatches/shoots/MMA that don't have rope breaks. I'd also recommend usings Carls adjustments for No ropebreaks for pins/subs/sigs/finishers mod.
and added the following quality of life adjustments/tweaks;
General UI and Menu tweak. Including buttons in mod will now only allow you to select one type of match, and will automatically disable any other match you currently have selected.
When using the no dragging mod anyone who falls out the ring will automatically rise into a stunned state outside of the ring, meaning the AI should attempt planchas and dives more often.
AI climbs ropes checkbox now uses this more often to climb the ropes during landmine matches. However depending on logic settings they may just jump down again :)
Added "Holy Shit" crowd sound effects that will trigger when a large explosions goes over in any of the modded exploding ring matches. This file can be edited in the Sounds/Cheers folder.
Added a new wire and chipboard wood texture in the RingMats/2nzmods folder, which users can swap out with other textures.
Guide
Arena Options
All of these check boxes remove items from the Arena upon loading. This works for entrances and main matches.
Dodecagon Gruesome Fighting Matches
Remove Fences - This removes the cage from the Octagon/Dodecagon just leaving a flat canvas to fight on. Designed for my Kakutougi MMA event.
Remove Crowd - Removes all of the crowd from the Octagon/Dodecagon Gruesome Fighting arena. Good for sparring or closed door fights.
Remove Steps - Removes the steps leading up to the Octagon/Dodecagon. Can be used with or without the remove fences mod.
Remove Announcers - Removes the announce tables and commentators from the front of the arena.
Sakae Transport Outdoor Ring
Piss off, Trees! - Removes all trees from the DLC Outdoor arena. Mainly to assist with FreeCam and CamAI's that get blocked by the default placements.
Piss off, Floodlights - Removes the floodlights from this arena but not the fences. I love these but great if you want to convert the outdoor arena to indoors.
Piss off, North Trees - Removes the back trees only. Not really useful but added for completeness.
Piss off, South Trees - Removes the front trees only. This is usually the troublesome ones that mess with FreeCam so allows you to remove just this while retaining the far audience background trees.
USA Grand Dome
Ling Free Globe and No Fire Screens - This removes the words FIRE PRO WREST LING from the Globe in this Mania inspired arena (the joke was for all entrances you could only see the word LING on the globe. It also makes the animated fire from the trons disappear so you can use static images.
All Arenas Crowd Killer
Works on any arena and disables the relevant members of the audience you set. Check all 4 to have a blank arena with no chairs. May sometimes conflict with some of Carls mods such as dynamic crowds or audience size so set those checkboxes as default first if this doesn't work first time.
No More LiveScreen
Kills the live screens on certain arenas to allow you to post static images to them. Works great on Big Garden and SCS and is required for most of Tychomas ECW arenas.
Deathmatch Options
This allows you to change or add stipulations to the current deathmatches and also Carlzillas extended match types.
No Rope Exploding Cage Match
Check this box and then select a cage match. Ensure you only have one type of cage match options checked at once or you'll get some freaky stuff happen.
The ring has no ropes and just a solid cage that is rigged to explode when irish whipped into it. The match follows the same logic as barbed wire deathmatch in that not every whip will be successful and wrestlers will fall down once they hit the cage. By default the more you whip your opponent into the cage the more extreme the explosions get in 5 whip burst until each whip engulfs the wrestlers.
This match can also be an exploding timebomb match by setting the explosion timer. It's default is 10 mins, but 15 is usually good for a decent build up. Once the timebomb has gone off the cage will no longer have any charge and all irish whips into the cage will no longer trigger explosions but still do collision damage just like FMW.
No top rope, corner, cage dives, outside dives or C2C moves are possible in this match type.
All Tag matches in the cage will default to tornado and elimination rules can be applied. The eliminated wrestler will appear KO'd after the loose in order prevent them from trying to leave the match. You can also run battle royale matches with this mod on and they will work but the more players the more chance of a bug out.
Known Issues:
This is a mod so it does sometimes glitch. You may get a game crash after finishing a match (usually a memory issue) or you may get one of the following happen mid-match;
Eliminated Player stands up and tries to exit ring keeps punching - The KO trigger didn't work and they're now gonna stand in the corner of the ring punching. End the match if it pisses you off.
One Wrestler disappears after the timebomb or their sprite remains on the ground bugging out but still fighting - No idea what causes this. it's funny af though.
Timebomb causes the game to freeze for a few seconds and then trigger - Your game hates my timer :) Match will resume after all 3 explosions trigger.
Wrestler gets thrown over top rope and ends up outside of ring - May mean you have Carls fighting outside in Barbed Wires matches switched on. In which case revert to default and try the match again.
If you encounter anything else try running a logfile and send it to me on the Modpack discord. Most won't trigger one though as the crashes will be to desktop. This won't corrupt data but do just play at your own risk.
Exploding Cage Match
This match is the same as above but the ring has standard ropes but will trigger a blast if you throw your opponent into the cage. Ensure you only have one type of cage match options checked at once or you'll get some freaky stuff happen.
The timebomb feature can also be used to trigger a mid-match explosion, which causes all players to drop to the ground damaged.
Players can still climb the cage in this match and hit top rope spots. I may disable these in future updates but liked the differences between this and the no-roped matches.
Exploding Landmine Deathmatch
Tick this box and select either a Barbed Wire Board or Light Tube Landmine Deathmatch. By default the following effects can now occur;
Adjustments to all explosion sound effects and strength and random chance of super explosion on the outside.
Corner, C2C and Top Ropes moves are now possible. This works best for player vs AI or Player vs Player matches, but AI should attempt top rope moves and C2C based on their logic. Check the AI Climbs section for further information.
Barbed Wire Board and barbed wire textures can be replaced. Just add a PNG file called wood.png and wire.png (all lowercase) into your \Fire Prowrestling World\RingMats\BarbedWire folder and the game should hot swap the textures.
Also added the option of having a timebomb timer which allows for an exploding ring much like the barbed wire matches.
Known Issues:
Landmine effects not triggering - You may have Carls no explosions or no landmines checked in the Modpack > Matches. By default the mod will try to turn these on, but this doesn't always work.
Funky textures - you set the wrong image files as your wood or wire and the game is throwing a hissy at you.
Set Explosion Timer
Applies to all 3 match types and allows for a timebomb element to be added to the match, which causes the ring to explode at the required time. Goes up in 5 minute intervals. Set at 0 (zero) if you wish to disable the timebomb.
AI Climbs Ropes in Landmine Matches
Disables the check for pressing to ascend the turnbuckle so means that anyone who runs or walks into turnbuckle during a landmine match will automatically ascend the top rope. Painful and annoying for player matches, but does allow more instances of AI climbing and using the ropes in Landmine match, at the sacrifice of no C2C moves.
PitFighter Match
This mod will switch on the "In The Dodecagon" mod from Carl and create a new match with a cage filled with weapons. Match type is set for Pin, Submission and 10 Count KO. All team and battle royales can be run but will be Elimination.
To change the textures replace the existing ones in RingMats/2nzmods with you own designs or simply update existing ones with you logos.
Use the scale to adjust the side of the cage chains/fence texture. I have default set as 0.20 for my current textures, but scale as you see fit.
You may get issues in this match when running 8 man matches or tag matches, especially if using any mods that adjust BP or Fight Forever. Suck it in!
Backstage Brawl
Makes the ring invisible, disables irish whips and places and invisible cage around the ring. Win by KO or submission only. A work in progress for backstage arena edit arenas. Will cause the wrestler to try and climb the invisible cage if entrances are on. Works best on Yurk or City Gym. Doesn't look good on arenas with incomplete floors such as AR05 - Performance Centre/Dojo
Remove Ring
Makes the ring invisible, disables irish whips but still allows you to ring out opponents. Players may attempt to climb up/down invisible apron. Works best on Yurk or City Gym and for S1 or SWA rules matches but you can do anything. Doesn't look good on arenas with incomplete floors such as AR05 - Performance Centre/Dojo
Additional Options
Change BW Sounds
In a standard barbed wire match this turns off explosions and replaces the whipped into sound ropes with barbed wire impact
Change Landmine Boards
Changes the textures Barbed Wire Board and barbed wire in standard/default Landmine matches. Just add a PNG file called wood.png and wire.png (all lowercase) into your \Fire Prowrestling World\RingMats\BarbedWire folder and the game should hot swap the textures.
Barbed Bat
Makes slight adjustment to Carls exploding bat mod. This will mean stronger explosions on each hit resulting in the attacker dropping the bat after each strike. On the third hit it causes the ring to explode. Strikes are counted as full swings from either M or H damage and not the S thrust.
Remove Wire - Keep Table
This will remove the barbed wire from the tables inside the ring during landmine matches. This allows you to use texture replacements to make other deathmatch shit you may want including electric heaters and exploding boards. Not yet bed of nails though, Kik!
General Options
These make adjustments to any match type and can be used with any of the match mods listed above or standard matches.
Start Close
Both wrestlers will start closer to the referee in the ring. Good for big fight stare-downs.
Start Further Back
Both wrestlers start in their respective corner. Good for boxing matches, Japanese wrestling intros and tag matches. Ensure you only check one of the options.
Disable MMA Timer
Removes the feature of the MMA timer flasing up in the first and last 30 seconds of a round. Works in SWA and Gruesome fights. Think I left it in for S1 round :)
No TOS (Test of Strength)
Disables any test of strengths from taking place during the match. Useful if your edits have high early match standing grapples as to avoid multiple test of strengths happening. Don't believe this causes any conflict with views TOS replacement mod so simply check and uncheck the box depending on your match.
No Rope Reversals
Disables rope stops for all wrestlers (even shooters). This means that irish whip reversals can still happen but there will be no opponents stopping on the ropes. Therefore more counter/whip moves and clotheslines will actually take place in early matches and you won't get both wrestlers just stopping dead at the ropes.
No Dragging near Ropes
This stops the AI from dragging the opponent away from the ropes after every fucking move! Really creates a better flow rather than watching the AI spent half the match pulling their opponent about the ring. Best when used in deathmatches with no rope breaks, or with Carls Mods adjustments for pins and subs to be counter in certain conditions.
Disable Breath (BP)
This disables breathing points for all wrestlers meaning your wrestler won't gas out as no BP is expended from moves/running. This was designed to make Lucha matches more fast paced as it means wrestlers will not stop to breath so will attempt running and outside dives more often.
This can cause conflict with barbed wire matches and my deathmatch mods as the rope whip and timebomb element depletes BP and these wrestlers will never bother breathing to get it back so may slow down or get to gassed state pretty quickly. You have been warned.

Future Updates
This will probably be it for this year. I'm happy with the progress I've made considering I hadn't made any mods or really used C# since the start of this year. Thanks again to Carl for his great tutorials and for patiently explaining things to me in the modpack discord.
Thanks again for playing this mods and I hope you enjoy them. Feel free to contact me on the discord if you have any questions, error-logs or suggestions.
