Loralee Clark grew up learning a love for nature and her place in it, in Maine. She resides in Virginia now as a writer and artist.
My “why” always comes down to curiosity; I write to learn. I want to know all the things: Why do I feel the way I do? What contributes to a successful writing process? How can I learn enough about my subject to be able to care for it adequately, responsibly? How can I honor my subjects of interest? What are all the ways we are connected? How does the natural world inform my abilities and choices? And how can I make sense of these answers for others? How can I embody the bridge I want to be between knowledge and action?
