I was born in Mexico. I consider myself a Chilango but I grew up in Chiapas. Since 2022, I've been living in Milan, where I'm pursuing my PhD at Bocconi University. Before this, I did my undergraduate studies in Mexico City.
I got an undergraduate degree in Physics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in Competition and Market Regulation at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).
Professionally, I worked as an associate at Games Economics in Mexico City, where I provided economic advice to companies on a range of competition, regulatory and public policy issues in different sectors (some of them: telecommunications, e-commerce and payments). Before that, I was a research assistant at the Experimental Quantum Optics Group at ICN-UNAM, bringing theoretical Physics into practical, hands-on research.
My academic and professional pursuits aside, I have keen interest in cinema and strategic boardgames.
