Bio

Born in Mexico, I consider myself a Chilango but I grew up in Chiapas. Since 2022, Milan has been my residence, where I'm pursuing my PhD at Bocconi University. Prior to this, I expanded my knowledge and secured my university studies in Mexico City.

In terms of education, I got an undergraduate degree in Physics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Master's degree in Economics with a specialization in Competition and Market Regulation at the Centro de Investigación y Docencia Económicas (CIDE).

Professionally, I have had enriching experiences.  I worked as an associate at Games Economics in Mexico City, providing economic advice to companies on a range of competition, regulatory and public policy issues in different sectors (some of them: telecommunications, e-commerce and payments). Before that, I was a research assistant at the Experimental Quantum Optics Group at ICN-UNAM, bringing theoretical Physics into practical, hands-on research.

My academic and professional pursuits aside, I have keen interest in cinema and strategic board-gaming.
