Lopamudra Palodhi, PhD

I am presently working as a Scientist in IIT Ropar, through the DST WOSA program, on studying interfacial instabilities in partially miscible fluid systems. Over the years, I have worked on varied research fields, broadly centered around fluid dynamics.

I started my research career as a PhD student at the University of Pisa, working with Prof. Francesco Pegoraro and Prof. Francesco Califano, exploring astrophysical plasmas. Following my PhD, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Ramjas College (University of Delhi), teaching undergraduate Physics. After 4 years at Ramjas, I moved back to research, initially collaborating on micro-macro coupling for simulating plasma flows with Prof. James Rossmanith at Iowa State University, followed by a post-doctoral stint at IIT Ropar, with Prof. Harpreet Singh, on studying the fluid dynamics in Cold-Spray processes. Presently, I am continuing my journey on fluids, working with Prof. Manoranjan Mishra at IIT Ropar.
