When using the app, connect your iPhone or iPad to the pedal using a data capable USB cable (and the camera adapter that supports data transfer).
On initial use, enter (or select from the default) config settings including the Folder Name (i.e. WAVE) the Folder Pattern (i.e. W###), the number of presets (i.e. 99) and the Bit Depth (i.e. 32 Bit Float). Settings are preserved between sessions.
Once the config settings are set, using the "Select Target Folder" icon on the bottom left of the corner of the app, select the target folder of the pedal's audio files (i.e. WAVE). This must be the same folder name that is specified as the Folder Name in the config settings and needs to be the pedal's folder that contains the individual preset folders (i.e. W001, W002, etc.). Once selected, the folder selection is preserved between sessions.
To add files to the pedal, either drag and drop an audio file onto the drop area or tap the drop area to select a file using the Files App.
Once a file is dropped or selected, the Volume Adjustment dialog will appear and the volume of the audio file can be adjusted and the target preset selected (which can either be "Next Available" which means the app will assign the audio file to the next available preset or a specific available preset number can be selected). Once converted, the file will be saved in the selected preset's folder and added to the list of presets stored on the pedal.
The audio file can be moved or copied to another preset by tapping the preset number in the list of presets. This will open a list of all preset numbers and show which ones are assigned vs available. If a preset number already assigned is selected as the target for the copy or move, a warning will be displayed indicating the audio file will be replaced in the target folder. The preset move feature includes a copy option which will copy the preset in the target folder and preserve the audio file in the current folder. If this option is not selected, a move will be performed liberating the preset the audio file is presently in and moving the audio file to the target preset.
Tapping a preset row will display additional icons that allow further audio file manipulation of the given preset, this includes (in order of icons shown):
- Headphones icon: play the audio (opens the iOS audio player and plays the audio)
- Paper & pencil icon: Rename the audio file / preset name
- Speaker icon: Volume adjustment
- Metronome icon: Tempo adjustment
- Scissors icon: Audio Trimming
- Circular Play with plus sign icon: Duplicate Audio
- Trash can icon: Delete audio fileThe blue ellipsis icon on the top right of the app will expose the following:
- Settings (configuration settings for the app)
- Backup Audio Files (will backup the current looper pedal audio files to a date and time stamped folder in a user selected folder)
- Restore Audio Files (will restore the looper pedal's audio files from a previously performed backup)
- Clear All Audio Files (will remove all audio files from the looper pedal)
- Help (will display help text)
The "Synch From Target Folder" icon on the bottom right of the screen will refresh the list of presets from the pedal's content (this occurs automatically when adding/renaming/removing files, but can also be invoked by the user).
