Lookswise respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it is shared, how long it is retained, and your choices when you use the Lookswise app.
1. Information We Collect
Lookswise may collect and use:
- Face photos that you intentionally select or capture for analysis
- Generated analysis results, including scores, trait breakdowns, advice, and 30-day plan content
- Scan history and checklist/progress data saved within the app
- Subscription and purchase status
- App usage information
- Device, crash, analytics, and diagnostic information
- Information you send when contacting support
Lookswise does not collect Face ID data, TrueDepth biometric templates, depth maps, or system-level facial recognition data.
2. Face Data
The only face data used by Lookswise is the face photo that you intentionally select or capture for analysis.
We use face data only to:
- generate facial analysis
- generate scores and trait breakdowns
- generate personalized advice
- generate a 30-day improvement plan
- let you optionally save scan history on your device so you can revisit previous scans
Lookswise does not use face data for:
- identity verification
- facial recognition
- advertising
- building identity profiles
- selling personal information
- training our own models
3. How Face Data Is Shared
To generate your analysis result, Lookswise sends the selected face photo and the analysis instructions to Google Gemini through Firebase AI.

Why we share face data:
- solely to generate the analysis, scores, advice, and plan content requested by the user
Lookswise does not share face data with advertisers or data brokers.
4. Consent Before Face Data Is Sent
Before a selected face photo is sent for AI analysis, the app presents an in-app disclosure explaining:
- what data is sent
- who receives it
- why it is sent
The user must explicitly choose to continue before the selected face photo is transmitted to Google Gemini through Firebase AI.
5. Storage and Retention of Face Data
Lookswise does not retain face photos on developer-controlled servers.
Local on-device storage:
- If you save scan history, the selected scan image and generated result are stored locally on your device.
- Checklist and plan progress may also be stored locally on your device.
Why we store this data locally:
- so you can revisit previous scans
- so you can continue your plan and checklist progress
How long local face data is retained:
- until you delete the history item
- or until you remove the app
- the app keeps up to 50 history entries on-device
Why this retention period is used:
- to provide scan history and plan continuity without indefinite remote storage
When you delete a history item, the related saved scan image is also removed from local storage when possible.
6. Third-Party Retention
Lookswise does not retain face photos on its own servers after analysis.
Face photos are transmitted to Google Gemini through Firebase AI for processing. Any retention or handling by Google/Firebase is governed by their applicable privacy terms and policies. Lookswise does not use that third-party processing to build its own face database.
7. Payments and Subscriptions
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not store your full payment details.
Lookswise uses RevenueCat as the subscription infrastructure layer for purchases, entitlements, and restores.
8. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Infrastructure
Lookswise may use trusted third-party services for analytics, diagnostics, subscriptions, and app infrastructure, including:
- Analytics
- Firebase AI
- Apple App Store billing services
These services process limited information as needed to provide their functionality.
9. How We Use Other Information
We may use information we collect to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the app
- provide analysis results and personalized plans
- manage subscriptions and purchases
- respond to support requests
- detect misuse, fraud, or technical issues
- monitor app reliability and performance
10. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your data.

11. Children’s Privacy
Lookswise is not intended for children under 13, or the minimum age required in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Lookswise after changes means you accept the updated policy.
