LooksIQ provides wellness guidance and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Account data: email, name (if provided), and authentication identifiers.
- Profile inputs: goals, activity level, skin type/concerns, weight, height, age, and biological sex.
- Meal data: diary entries, nutrition items, notes, and barcode values you log.
- Subscription data: purchase history, entitlement status, and receipt tokens
(managed by RevenueCat).
- Photos and scans:
- Meal photos you submit for nutrition estimation.
- Skin selfies you submit for cosmetic analysis (stored to show history).
- AI interactions: prompts and generated summaries or insights based on your data.
We do not collect precise location, contacts, audio, or advertising identifiers.
We use data to:
- Provide core features such as meal tracking, calorie targets, and skin insights.
- Generate AI summaries, coach chat replies, and nutrition estimates you request.
- Maintain app reliability, security, and performance.
We share data only with service providers needed to deliver features:
- Supabase for authentication, databases, storage, and edge functions.
- Google Sign-In (if you choose to sign in with Google) for authentication.
- RevenueCat for subscription management and purchase receipt validation.
- OpenRouter (current model provider: OpenAI) for AI analysis used by features like meal photo nutrition estimates and chat.
- Open Food Facts, Edamam, and Nutritionix for nutrition lookup.
If you sign up using a gym or partner promo code, we share your first name and your subscription status (for example: signed up, subscribed, or cancelled) with that specific partner so they can track their referrals and earn any applicable commission. We do not share your email, photos, health inputs, or any other personal data with partners, and partners only see members who used their own code. This sharing happens only if you choose to enter a partner code.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
Meal photos are transmitted to our servers and AI providers to estimate nutrition and are not stored by us after processing.
Skin selfies are stored in your account so you can view scan history.
Skin scan analysis uses a combination of on-device heuristics and server-side AI processing via OpenRouter.
- You can export or delete your account from Settings.
- You can revoke camera, photo, and notification permissions in system settings.
We keep your data until you delete your account, after which we delete stored records and scans.
Copies stored locally on your device may remain until you remove the app or clear local storage.
Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
LooksIQ is intended for users 13 and older.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If you are between 13 and the minimum age in your region, you should use LooksIQ only with a parent or guardian's consent.
