Lony Bessagnet
I am an applied behavioral microeconomist with interests in labor and education topics. Using formal theory-guided laboratory and survey experiments, I study how motivated beliefs shape motivation and performance, and how they affect the way individuals evaluate their own realized performance.
In my job market paper, I combine a theoretical framework with a laboratory experiment to study how anticipation of performance rankings affects effort and, ultimately, realized rankings.
