We are a community focused Judo club located in Longton, Preston, and we offer Judo training for various age groups and skill levels, promoting physical fitness, discipline, and the traditional values of Judo. We like to think that our club is known for its welcoming atmosphere and dedicated instructors, who help students develop their skills and achieve their personal goals in Judo. Training sessions typically include a mixture of technical practice, sparring, and physical conditioning.
Our class is held at the Women's Institute hall on school lane in Longton, Preston. The club runs every week on a Tuesday evening from 6pm till 7pm and we accept all levels of student between the ages of 5 and 15.
It is important to note that Judo is a comptitive sport and has a proud place in the Olympic Games every 4 years. However, we do not push people to take part in competitions if they do not wish to. Our club welcomes everyone from recreational training for fitness and making new friends, to students who would like to engage more seriously in competitive Judo competition.
The following are the costs associated with Judo practice. Students can buy their uniforms and bags, etc.. wherever you prefer, but you must ensure the item quality matches British kitemark standards.
Costs:
Mat fee (lesson costs) are paid monthly and cost £30.00
Membership fee is a single yearly payment that includes membership and insurance £35.00
Grading fee (belt promotions) cost £30.00 whenever you test for a new belt colour
Training uniform (Judogi) depending on size costs between £30.00 and £60.00
