Longos Elementary School can be considered as one of the oldest schools in the town of Meycauayan. This school has a very wonderful and colorful story.
It was built long before the unsuccessful invasion of Japanese invasion of the Japanese Imperial.
The first teacher in the barangay was the American soldier. They were so impressed on the extra ordinary intelligence of their pupils. When the American soldiers left the Barangay, those early batches of pupils who have been taught were became the teachers.
Maestro was the term used for the teachers. The famous maestro during that time was Mr. Fortunato Diez. He was so strict and disciplinarian. Disobedient pupils experienced corporal punishment that has been implemented during early years.
It is started as a primary school. Pupils who finished grade IV continued his Grade V in Meycauayan Central School.
In 1965, it became a complete Elementary School.
