Fill in the form to be matched with somebody who gets it
We are experimenting with writing a community newsletter!
If you'd like to sign up to receive it or submit something to it, please click here. There's a rolling deadline for submissions to put as little pressure on people's energy levels as possible. Once we have enough content we will send out each edition - in person, via email, and also as an audio recording. It's open to messages to others, thoughts about your experiences, artwork and anything else you'd like to share with the community!
An a online peer-to-peer matching service for people with Long Covid and their supporters, including friends, family or carers.
People with long covid are more likely to report that they have no-one to talk to about their worries, that they feel like a burden on others, and that long covid puts a strain on their personal relationships.
This is certainly how I (Emma, who set this up!) have felt. I didn't speak to anyone else with long covid until about 6 months after I'd been ill, and when I did, it was a transformational conversation. Realising that I wasn't alone and that other people had strategies for management that were helping them was so useful and reassuring. I hope this can be the same for you.
Fill out the quick Matching Form to be matched with someone who understands. Once you have filled it in, you will be matched with someone who you can then get in touch with: via email, phone call, or video call – it’s up to you.
It’s also up to you what you talk about and if you choose to have regular catch ups with the person you’re matched with or just want a one-off chat. If you have any questions please email us at long.covid.solidarity@gmail.com.
