The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the basics of pistol shooting from the top firearms training organization in the world! All of your Lone Star LTC Instructors are NRA Certified Instructors. Although not required in Texas, the course is the first steps for you to obtain the proper certification for your concealed carry permit in some states. It provides the fundamentals of Pistol shooting safely and is a great preparatory class for the LTC Course. The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting cannot substitute the LTC Course regulated by the Texas Department of Public Safety, however it is an excellent supplement to the LTC Course.

The LTC course instructs you on the Legal aspects of carrying a handgun on your person. Both will require you to demonstrate proficiency with a handgun.

Yes, minors are welcome however, if you are under the age of 18, we do require a legal guardian or parent to be present and both student and parent will be required to pay the course fees.
