The Green Council at Londonderry High School is a club designed to confront and raise awareness regarding man-induced climate change. Founded this past Fall, it is the newest club at the high school. Its popularity has grown fast, boasting 45 members at the moment, making it one of the largest organizations at the school. Here are some of our recent initiatives:
The Green Council has helped collaborate with the school on promoting Pathwater, a 100% renewable water bottle. Thus far, we have accomplished our goal of selling 400 of the bottles at our school, thereby saving 62,400 plastic bottles annually.
The Green Council is responsible for hanging up informative posters around the school designed to raise environmental awareness.
