2nd LSE Macro PhD Workshop
at LSE Centre for Macroeconomics
at LSE Centre for Macroeconomics
The LSE Macro PhD Workshop returns for its second edition on 20th November 2026. Join us to connect with PhD students working in macroeconomics in and around London.
The first edition took place on 14 November 2025 (see the previous programme).
This workshop offers an opportunity for PhD students working in macroeconomics to:
present their early-stage and advanced research projects for peer feedback
get to know and network with other PhD students working in macroeconomics.
The workshop allows for longer presentations of 30 minutes (including questions) and shorter lightning sessions of 15 minutes for early-stage work.
There are no registration fees and lunch is provided free of charge. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any financial support towards travel and accommodation expenses.
As the primary goal of the workshop is to get to know colleagues working in similar areas, we also welcome attendance of non-presenters subject to prior registration.
Submissions for the 2026 edition are not yet open. Once they are, please use the link below to submit.
Please submit your papers by the deadline on 15 August 2026 (23:59 UK time) using the submission form HERE.
We invite submissions on any topic in macroeconomics.
For a 30-minute presentation slot, we ask for submission of a full draft.
For a lightning session slot, we also welcome the submission of an extended abstract (2-5 pages).
Please indicate your preference in the form. Acceptance decisions will be sent in September 2026 and we ask for registration by the end of September.
Submission deadline: 15 August 2026
Notification of acceptance: by 23 September 2026
Attendance registration deadline: 31 October 2026
Workshop: 20 November 2026
