This year, to celebrate LYT's tenth anniversary, we will be remounting the first show LYT ever did: High School Musical!
This year will also include workshops, talent shows, a winter camp, and more!
Lompoc Youth Theater’s mission is to bring the joy of participating in live theater to young people, to equip and encourage the next generation of theater professionals, and to enrich the community of Lompoc Valley with quality live theater. It was founded in the beginning of 2009 by Joyce Mayhew, an Artist in Residence with the Santa Ynez branch of the Arts Outreach program, to fill the void that was left when the arts started being removed from local schools’ curriculum.
We accomplish this task by offering after-school programs each school-year semester, for public, private, and home-schooled students. Our most extensive program is the theater camp that we host every July for students grades 4-12. This is a 3-week course that takes place in a live theater and teaches students team work, responsibility, and the timeless power of theater.
