Honeybee of the Week

Honeybee Instructions

Starting in October- Each week, there will be 1 designated Honeybee (Star Student) who will have the opportunity to buzz with pride all week long as our special Honeybee! 

You will receive a reminder email 1 week before your child’s scheduled Honeybee week. 

During Honeybee week:

MONDAY: Meet the Honeybee

Bring in a poster filled with family photos, some of your favorite things, special memories… etc. be creative! 

TUESDAY: Bee Kind - teaching compliments

Honeybee's classmates will share ways the Honeybee has been kind to them and/or positive comments about the Honeybee.

THURSDAY: Buzzing to Share

1 show & tell item

It can be something related to the poster OR anything you want to show and share with the class! (stuffed animals, toys, books, clothing etc.) Try to think of something unique and special that pertains to you and your family! 

FRIDAY: Bee Our Guest

A family member or friend of the Honeybee can visit our hive to read their favorite book. If you are unable to join, you can send the book to school with your child and we will read it as a class.

Heart & Hive Time

For one day of their week, the Honeybee can choose one of the following activities with the class:

Children's Yoga

Mindful Coloring

Five Senses Garden

Wiggle & Freeze
