If you want ultra-discreet, sleep-friendly earbuds that stay put without bulk, choose Loluka in-Ear; if you need superior call clarity, lower latency for meetings, and a modern audio profile, choose Defunc True LITE II.
• Loluka in-Ear: Offers an invisible, ergonomic fit designed specifically for comfort during sleep or long wear, but lacks active noise cancellation and advanced call features.
• Defunc True LITE II: Delivers robust 13mm drivers, ENC for clear calls, and Bluetooth 6.0 low latency, though its semi-in-ear design is more visible than the Loluka alternative.
• Who it's for: The Loluka is perfect for those prioritizing a "nothing there" feel, while the Defunc suits professionals needing reliable connectivity and voice quality for work.
The Loluka Ultra Small in-Ear Wireless Earbuds are built around a singular philosophy: disappear into your day. These aren't just small; they are engineered to be virtually invisible. The manufacturer developed the shape using 3D ear scans from a variety of ears, resulting in an ergonomic design that follows the natural contours of the ear canal. This isn't a one-size-fits-all approach where you force a bulky bud into your ear; instead, the low-profile, unobtrusive form factor aims to provide a secure fit for any occasion, whether you are working out, commuting, or simply relaxing.
For anyone who struggles with the sensation of something being "stuck" in their ear, this model offers a distinct advantage. The nude color and silicone enclosure blend seamlessly with skin tones, making them ideal for users who want to listen without drawing attention. They are particularly well-suited for those who need to use headphones while sleeping or lying down, as the round, curved shape minimizes pressure points on the side of the head. If your primary goal is comfort over extended periods without the distraction of large housings, this is the device to consider.
However, you should skip this option if your daily routine involves heavy conference calling or requires advanced audio processing. While the Loluka supports Bluetooth 5.3 and promises stable connections without delay, it does not feature active noise cancellation (ANC). The controls are touch-based, which works well for media, but the lack of specialized call hardware means it relies entirely on standard microphone performance. If you are looking for a dedicated tool for high-stakes virtual meetings where background noise suppression is critical, the basic "Crystal-Clear Sound" marketing here may not meet the rigorous demands of a professional environment.

The Defunc True LITE II takes a different approach, focusing on Scandinavian minimalism and functional performance. Designed with a "sound-first" engineering philosophy, these earbuds house a powerful 13mm dynamic driver within a compact package. This larger driver size translates to rich bass, clear vocals, and balanced stereo sound that feels premium despite the accessible price point. The design is semi-in-ear, offering a lightweight fit that is comfortable enough for all-day listening, from morning commutes to evening travel. The aesthetic is clean and simple, available in colors like Blue, allowing the earbuds to match your outfit or mood rather than hiding away.
Where the Defunc truly shines is in its utility for modern work environments. It features ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) technology specifically tuned for clear calls. This is a significant upgrade for anyone who spends hours on video conferences or phone calls. The inclusion of low-latency performance ensures that audio stays perfectly synced with video, a non-negotiable feature for watching content or participating in live discussions without the annoying lag that can ruin a meeting. With Bluetooth 6.0, the connection range extends up to 10 meters, providing freedom of movement without the fear of dropouts.
This product is also the better choice for those who value smart integration. The Defunc supports AI app compatibility, letting users customize their listening experience through a dedicated interface. Whether you are adjusting equalizer settings or managing connection preferences, the ability to tailor the audio output makes it a versatile companion for the tech-savvy user. However, if you prefer the absolute smallest footprint possible, the slightly larger housing required for the 13mm driver might feel more noticeable than the Loluka's microscopic profile.
• Best for Battery Life → Defunc True LITE II: With up to 20 hours of total playtime compared to the Loluka's 20 hours combined, the Defunc offers a longer continuous listening window per charge cycle, though both rely on their respective cases for extended use.
• Best for Latency Over Ear Headphones for Meetings → Defunc True LITE II: The explicit low-latency specification and Bluetooth 6.0 make this the superior choice for syncing audio during video calls or streaming content.
• Best with Mic Wireless Headphones for Meetings → Defunc True LITE II: The ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) feature provides a tangible advantage in isolating voice and reducing background chatter compared to the standard setup on the Loluka.
• Best for ANC True Wireless Earbuds for Meetings → Defunc True LITE II: While neither has full ANC, the Defunc's passive noise cancellation and ENC technology offer a more effective solution for noisy office environments.
• Best for Invisible/Discreet Fit → Loluka in-Ear: The 3D-scanned, ultra-small design is unmatched for users who want earbuds that are practically undetectable to others.
• Best for Audio Driver Size → Defunc True LITE II: The 13mm dynamic driver delivers a fuller soundstage and deeper bass response than the smaller drivers found in the Loluka.
• Best for Bluetooth Version → Defunc True LITE II: Bluetooth 6.0 offers potential improvements in efficiency and connection stability over the Bluetooth 5.3 found in the Loluka.
• Best for Sleep Comfort → Loluka in-Ear: The flat, low-profile shape is specifically designed to minimize pressure when lying on your side, a scenario where the Defunc's semi-in-ear bud might cause discomfort.
In my opinion, I would buy the Defunc True LITE II for my daily life and work setup. While the Loluka in-Ear wins on pure discretion and its unique appeal for sleepers, the Defunc's combination of ENC for clear calls and low-latency performance makes it the far more capable tool for professional use. When I am preparing for a presentation or joining a client call, having the assurance of environmental noise cancellation and a larger driver for rich audio is worth the slight increase in physical presence. The Defunc balances style, function, and modern connectivity requirements better for the average user navigating a busy schedule.
The Defunc True LITE II is explicitly designed with low latency performance, making it the superior choice for video calls where audio sync matters. The Loluka in-Ear uses Bluetooth 5.3 but does not specify low-latency optimization for real-time communication.
Neither model features full Active Noise Cancellation, but the Defunc True LITE II includes ENC (Environmental Noise Cancellation) to help isolate your voice during calls, whereas the Loluka lacks this specific call-focused technology.
The Defunc True LITE II is the stronger contender due to its dedicated ENC feature, which actively filters background noise for clearer transmission. The Loluka offers standard connectivity but does not highlight specialized microphone enhancement for noisy environments.
Both models offer substantial power, with the Defunc True LITE II promising up to 20 hours of total playtime and the Loluka in-Ear offering a similar 20-hour total via its case. The Defunc's single charge life is optimized for longer sessions without recharging.
