Joseph Raffael

I was born in Ukraine, where I studied painting in an art school.

I immigrated to Israel at a young age, studied, and chose the profession of software engineering, but I never stopped painting and managed to combine both fields in my life.

I have always been intrigued by trying different techniques and styles, and different genres (characters, landscapes, still life).

Lately, I got addicted to watercolors, a challenging, impressive, live, unpredictable, and light technique, which allows a wide variety - from quick sketches to in-depth works full of small details.

Art is what brings color to my life, expresses what cannot always be expressed in words, and captures moments, impressions, and feelings that deserve to be etched in memory...

Now I am painting constantly, improving my skills and technics. I participate in exhibitions, contests, and art events, my artworks are in private collections in Israel and abroad.
