Pralhad Kumar Chaulagain ("the Developer") built the Loksewa Tayari Pro app as a Free app with an optional paid Premium upgrade. This SERVICE is provided by Pralhad Kumar Chaulagain and is intended for use as is.
This page is used to inform visitors regarding the Developer's policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use this Service. If you choose to use this Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy.
Loksewa Tayari Pro is an offline-first preparation app for the examinations of the Public Service Commission (Lok Sewa Aayog) of Nepal. It provides study material in General Knowledge, Essential Information, Current Affairs, Computer, English, Nepali Grammar, IQ practice, model question sets, puzzles and progress tracking.
The App is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Public Service Commission or any other government body. All study material is prepared by the Developer. For official notices, syllabus and exam schedules, always refer to the official sources.
Information Collection and Use
The App is designed to work offline. Most of the information the App uses — including your quiz and exam scores, wrong answers, favourites, reading progress, coins, streaks, daily targets, study-timer records, reminders and app settings — is retained on your device using local storage. It is not collected by the Developer, except for the optional progress backup for signed-in users described below.
The Developer collects personal information only in the following situations, and only when you choose to provide it:
* Google Sign-In (optional). Signing in is entirely optional. The App provides a "Skip for now" option and the whole study library is available without an account. If you do sign in, the Developer receives your email address, display name, profile photo link and a unique account identifier issued by Firebase Authentication.
* Profile details (optional). If you fill in or edit your profile, the name, phone number and gender that you enter are stored in the Developer's database.
* Progress backup (signed-in users). If you are signed in, the App backs up your study progress — such as quiz and exam scores, wrong answers, favourites, streaks, daily targets and app preferences — to the Developer's database, linked to your account. This is used only to restore your progress when you sign in on another device.
* Premium purchase. If you request Premium access through the in-app payment flow, the App records your account identifier, email, name, phone number, gender, the plan and amount you selected, the status of the request, the related timestamps and the payment screenshot that you upload. This information is used solely to verify your payment manually and to activate Premium on your account.
* Premium redeem codes. If you activate Premium using a redeem code, the App records against that code the identifier of the device on which it was used, so that a single code cannot be used on an unlimited number of devices.
* Notification token. If you are signed in, the App stores the Firebase Cloud Messaging token of your device against your account so that the Developer can send you an individual notification, for example a reply about your Premium request. The token identifies your installation of the App, not you personally, and changes when you reinstall the App.
* Support correspondence. The Premium screen includes a button that opens WhatsApp with a message addressed to the Developer. If you send it, or if you write by email, the Developer receives your message along with the address or telephone number you sent it from. WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms and its own privacy policy governs messages sent through it.
The Developer does not sell, rent or trade personal information, and does not use it for any purpose other than those described in this policy.
If you use the App without signing in, your study progress is not uploaded to any server. Scores, answers, favourites and statistics remain on your device and are not restored automatically if you change devices.
App Permissions
The App requests the following permissions:
* Internet and Network State — required for signing in, verifying Premium, backing up progress for signed-in users, displaying advertisements, opening the news section and downloading syllabus documents.
* Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — required to deliver the exam and study reminders you create and occasional announcements from the Developer.
* Run at Start-up (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) — required so that the reminders you have already scheduled survive a device restart.
* Advertising ID (AD_ID) — required by Google AdMob in order to serve advertisements.
* Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO) — used only by the optional voice-note feature, and only while you actively use it.
* Photo selection — used only when you deliberately choose an image to submit as a payment screenshot.
* Bluetooth — used only so that audio can be routed to a connected Bluetooth device.
The App never activates the microphone or accesses your photo library in the background.
Microphone and Voice Notes
The App includes an optional voice-note feature in the "My Note" section. The microphone is activated only while you are using that feature. Speech is converted to text by the speech-recognition service built into your Android device. The resulting note is saved on your device only. The Developer does not receive, store or transmit any audio recording.
Text-to-Speech (Pronunciation)
The English learning sections can read words and sentences aloud. This uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your Android device. No audio and no text is sent to the Developer for this purpose.
Study Content and Downloads
All study content is bundled inside the App and works offline. Two features fetch material from the internet when you open them:
* The Syllabus feature downloads official syllabus documents published by the Public Service Commission and stores them on your device for offline reading.
* The Gorkhapatra feature opens the website gorkhapatraonline.com inside an in-app browser so that you can read Lok Sewa notices.
Notifications
The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to send announcements such as new content and examination notices. Every installation is subscribed to general message groups (for example, all users, free users or premium users). If you are signed in, the messaging token of your device is also saved against your account, as described above, so that the Developer can reply to you individually. You may disable notifications at any time from your device settings.
The App also creates local reminders for examination dates, calendar events and any custom reminder you add. These are generated on your device and are not sent to the Developer.
Analytics
The App does not include Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any other analytics or user-tracking software. The Developer does not collect screen views, usage patterns, session data or behavioural statistics. The App also does not include any crash-reporting software.
Advertising
The App displays advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To select and measure the advertisements shown to you, Google may use your device's advertising identifier together with information such as your general location derived from your IP address, your device type and your interaction with the advertisement. The Developer does not receive this information and does not share your name, email address or any other account detail with advertisers.
Advertising is disabled entirely for users who have purchased Premium.
You can reset your advertising identifier, or opt out of personalised advertising, at any time from your Android device settings under Google, then Ads. Google's advertising practices are described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Local Data Storage
The App stores the following on your device using local storage: quiz and exam results, wrong answers, favourites, reading position, coins, streaks, daily targets, study-timer records, daily and weekly free-usage counters, reminders, voice notes and your app settings such as theme, book mode, text size and sound.
Except for the progress backup described above for signed-in users, this information stays on your device. Voice notes are never backed up. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, the information on your device is permanently deleted. If you are not signed in, it is not backed up to any server and cannot be recovered or transferred when you move to a new device.
Sharing Your Results
Some screens offer a button to share your result. When you press it, the App prepares an image or a short text of your own score on your device and passes it to the app you select from the Android share menu. Nothing is shared unless you press the button, and the Developer does not receive a copy.
Premium Protection
To prevent a single Premium purchase from being shared across many devices, the App generates a device identifier from your device brand, model and Android device ID. This identifier is stored on your device and is also recorded in the Developer's database alongside your Premium record and, where a redeem code was used, alongside that code. It is used only to verify that Premium is being used on the device it was activated for, and to detect abuse of a single purchase or code.
Log Data
The Developer does not operate its own servers and does not maintain application log files. The third-party services listed under Service Providers may keep their own technical logs in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Cookies
The App itself does not use cookies. The in-app browser used by the Gorkhapatra feature may allow that website to set cookies, and advertisements delivered by Google may use similar technologies.
Service Providers
The App uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
* Google Firebase — Authentication, Realtime Database and Cloud Messaging, used for accounts, profiles, progress backup, Premium records, payment requests and notifications. https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
* Google Sign-In and Google Play Services — https://policies.google.com/privacy
* Google AdMob — advertising. https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
* Public Service Commission of Nepal — source of the official syllabus documents.
* Gorkhapatra Online — the news website opened by the Gorkhapatra feature.
Security
Information exchanged between the App and Firebase is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to the database is restricted by Firebase security rules, and administrative access is limited to the Developer. While the Developer takes reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Data Retention and Deletion
Information stored on your device remains until you delete the App or clear its data. Account details, profile information, progress backup, payment requests and payment screenshots are retained while your account exists, so that your progress and Premium can be restored if you change devices.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by sending an email to appscreator200@gmail.com from the address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". Your account record, profile, progress backup, payment requests and payment screenshots will be deleted within 30 days and a confirmation will be sent to you.
Links to Other Sites
The App contains links to websites that are not operated by the Developer, including the Gorkhapatra news website and the Public Service Commission website. If you follow such a link you will be taken to that site. The Developer has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party site, and strongly advises you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.
Children's Privacy
The App is intended for candidates preparing for government examinations and is directed at users aged 13 and over. The Developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the Developer becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, that information will be deleted immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact the Developer so that the necessary action can be taken.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Developer may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and the Effective Date shown above will be revised. You are advised to review this page periodically. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
