The dynamic nature of the software industry increasingly complicates and elevates the costs associated with software testing. This paper addresses the critical need for automation in software testing, particularly for mobile Android device certification. We propose a novel automation platform called ODACE, that performs certification testing automatically. ODACE is developed as an application running on a tester PC based on the Appium tool, controlling mobile devices and accessory devices to execute a comprehensive set of telecommunication scenarios. In our evaluation, ODACE significantly reduces the engagement time in certification testing by 89%. We obtain a drastic decrease in human intervention needed for test execution enhancing the overall certification process.
