Phillip Hewitt is a speech-language pathologist licensed by the state of Missouri and certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). He began his career as a clinician at Applied Learning Processes in 2010 and has continued his association with the clinic and its methodologies in the intervening years. Phillip earned a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri in 2014. After graduating, he spent three years in Los Angeles working at private clinic where he taught social skills classes, treated individual clients, and assisted in the planning and teaching of a drama-based summer program for children with autism and other disorders involving speech and language difficulties. He has experience treating both children and adults with a variety of communication challenges and specializes in working with people who stutter. He is also certified in the Compton Pronouncing English as a Second Language (PESL) Program. Phillip advances his professional development constantly by participating in continuing education opportunities through ASHA and the Stuttering Foundation of America.

Phillip lives in Kansas City, MO, with his cat, Meander. He enjoys ultimate frisbee, board and video games, playing the piano, and spending time with his family.
