Our Festival is looking for volunteers!
Would you like to be a part of our team? We appreciate your help!
We need volunteers for many important tasks before and during the Festival:
to run the math stations during the event (1.5-hour or 3-hour shifts)
to coordinate the logistics before and during the event
to help set up the tables and the materials before the Festival and to pack everything up afterward
and much more...
Do I have to be good at math to become a volunteer? We plan to have a variety of stations and activities: challenging problems, quirky puzzles, building sets and blocks, edible checkers, and so on. Some activities are more "mathy" than others. You can choose a topic or activity you are interested in and feel comfortable with. We also need volunteers to be in charge of the festival logistics.
What if I have an idea for a station? Great, let’s hear it! We’re open to ideas and new cool stations. Do you like weaving patterns on a cardboard loom? Or making Jacob’s ladder string figure? Can you demonstrate how to use tensegrity in construction? Send us your suggestions!

For the past festivals, our team consisted of 60+ volunteers – parents, grandparents, high-school students, teachers, and math circle instructors. Organizing a Math Festival is an enjoyable and valuable experience - join us!
