From what I’ve heard is that a semi dirac fermion are a type of quasi particle that can switch from having mass and not having mass I guess to do with what direction it is moving. Which a quasiparticle I think mean a group of particles that act as a single particle.

So with a semi dirac fermion able to switch from having mass and not having mass then perhaps that could be used for propulsion.

For example a semi dirac fermion while it has mass to move down a straight line of a rectangular path. Once at the end of the straight line to then become massless and move back to where it was when it first moved with mass perhaps by continuing to move along the rectangular path. Once at the location where started from earlier with mass to then regain mass and perhaps be able to repeat the process.

With having semi dirac fermion material moving down a specific direction with mass perhaps by doing so can be similar to how a rocket thruster emits material with mass towards a specific direction. Which when the semi dirac fermion lacks mass to move back to the location where started to move when had mass then perhaps when lacking mass can avoid counteracting velocity gained from when had moved with mass.

Which just to mention perhaps a rectangular path can be ideal due to when having mass move down a straight line. However if it is difficult to have a rectangular path then maybe a circular path are more ideal. This way basically have one half of the circular path are when have mass when moving down the path and the other half without mass.a

Furthermore perhaps could have a toroid shaped area filled with semi dirac fermions that can move as a circular path towards and away from the center of the toroid. Basically like have a path closest towards the center of the toroid and the other half on the outside direction. With a toroid shaped space can perhaps be ideal for the amount of space used perhaps filled with semi dirac fermions.

Another thing to mention perhaps how when something with mass attracts gravity were to move it make a gravitational wave then perhaps could use this idea with semi dirac fermions to emit gravitational waves that move the direction when the semi dirac fermion material move when have mass.

If to just have material with mass that rotate around like in a circle then perhaps gravitational waves to be emitted all around the circle for each direction the material are moving. But with the idea with moving semi dirac fermion material could perhaps more effectively emit gravitational waves towards a specific direction.

Also just to mention perhaps when semi dirac fermion material become massless then perhaps that could also generate a gravitational wave.

Which also if to constantly switch from having mass and being massless to make gravitational waves at least mostly stationary then perhaps could emit gravitational waves at least mostly around in all directions not necessarily at least mostly a specific direction. So by doing so then perhaps are not really ideal for propulsion towards a specific direction since are just all around. However could probably have a dense material like lead to attract gravitational waves to cause them to move a specific direction. Though regardless perhaps the idea with moving semi dirac fermion material with mass towards a specific direction and then massless to get back to be able to repeat the process with gaining mass then perhaps that could be used to more effectively to emit gravitational waves a specific direction.

just to mention I’ve heard semi dirac fermion material were found with the material of zirconium silicon sulfide (ZrSiS).
