Logic and Metaphysics is a collaborative research initiative based at the Universities of Bonn and Potsdam.
What drives us is a shared interest in the foundations of both disciplines, and in the question of how those foundations can be challenged, revised and to be examined at different levels, from different directions, and in different philosophical traditions.
This idea took shape at the GAP. 12 in Düsseldorf, where a conversation with overlapping interests became a plan. The plan became a conference series.
The present iteration focuses on two questions that are, in a sense, mirror images of each other: what metaphysical commitments underlie our logical systems, and what logical resources are available to metaphysics.
This is where we begin.
