Football Brochure Designer’s Statement
In my design, I tri-folded my brochure using the ruler guides and each side has three columns. This allowed the information to be a lot more organized and helped my design choices in what I believed to be the most important information. My cover does have centered alignment, I stuck with this choice as for a clean cover, I felt this was the best choice compared to left or right-aligned. On the inside, I made my left fold/page; left-aligned, my center page; left-aligned, and my page on the right; right-aligned. I felt this was the best decision as it made sense for it to be left-aligned on the left page, left-aligned for the center page because left-aligned is the most traditional way of reading, and the right side to be right aligned due to the page being on the right. I left blank areas between each page so that when folded, the creases don’t mess up the readability of each page. My color choices were determined by the school colors and my image choices were due to the subject of the text within that page. The fonts I used were my personal choices and I determined those by simple process of elimination when looking through the other fonts. I took into effect, the size and readability of the fonts.

For this poster, one of the biggest standouts you see is the text placed towards the top right corner of the page and towards the bottom left. This placement and rotation was intentional alongside the color choice in order to grab the viewer’s attention. Although principally, these are poor choices, they do stand out in comparison to the rest of the poster, which was my intention. I added the contact information aligned to the bottom right but noticeably, I added a QR code which directs the viewer straight to the url listed to the right. The color change in the text within the requirements was chosen to help keep the text readable, transitioning to the different background color and matches the colors of the title of the poster. The graphic I used was a stock graphic found here https://www.vectorstock.com/royalty-free-vector/scholarship-or-study-grant-icon-flat-vector-20665492
