Lodge Thorntree No 512
History
Lodge Thorntree No. 512 is a Masonic lodge located in Thornliebank, Scotland, operating under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Scotland through the Provincial Grand Lodge of Renfrewshire East.
The lodge was founded on 6th November 1871. This was the same year that Queen Victoria opened the Royal Albert Hall and the first rugby international between Scotland and England took place.
At the time its charter was granted, Thornliebank was a small village centred around the Printfield Calico Print and Dyeworks, which dominated the local economy.
In November 2021, the lodge celebrated its sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) with a ceremony conducted by Brother William Ramsay McGhee, the MW Grand Master Mason of Scotland.
The lodge meets at Thorntree Hall, Main Street, Thornliebank, G46 7SF.
