LockRealm ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, and discloses information.

By downloading and using LockRealm, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

1. No Backend & Local Data Storage

LockRealm operates as an offline-first application. We do not own, operate, or maintain a backend server to store your personal data.

• Your Data Stays on Your Device: All data regarding your focus sessions, block lists, app usage statistics, achievement medals, and purchased Tokens are stored locally on your device using internal databases (e.g., Shared Preferences, Room Database).

• Risk of Data Loss: Because we do not sync your data to a cloud server, uninstalling the application or clearing the application data will result in the permanent loss of your progress and purchased Tokens. We cannot restore this data once it is deleted from your device.

2. Permissions & Data Usage

To function as a productivity tool, LockRealm requires specific Android permissions. Here is how we use them:

2.1. Accessibility Service API (Crucial)

LockRealm uses the Android Accessibility Service API to detect and block distracting applications.

• Why we need it: When "Hell Mode" or "Heaven Mode" is active, the service monitors the package name of the app currently in the foreground. If the detected app matches one in your "Block List," LockRealm automatically closes it or overlays a blocking screen.

• Privacy Assurance:

  • We DO NOT use this service to read your screen content, messages, or passwords.

  • We DO NOT transmit any data collected via this service to any third-party server.

  • The service is active only for the purpose of app blocking.

2.2. Usage Access (Usage Stats)

LockRealm requests access to your device's Usage Statistics.

• Why we need it: To display a list of your most-used applications, sorted by time spent. This helps you identify which apps are causing the most distraction and select them for blocking.

• Privacy Assurance: This data is processed locally to display the list and is not shared with us or third parties.

2.3. Overlay Permission (Draw Over Other Apps)

• Why we need it: To display the "Focus Timer," the "Whispering Demon" notifications, and the blocking screen over other applications when a session is active.

3. In-App Purchases (Billing)

LockRealm offers digital goods (e.g., "Cancel Tokens") via Google Play Billing.

• Payment Processing: All financial transactions are handled directly by Google Play. We do not process, collect, or store your credit card details or payment information.

• Transaction Status: We only receive a notification from Google indicating whether a purchase was successful or failed, which allows us to credit the Tokens to your local balance.

4. Third-Party Services

While we do not have our own server, the application is distributed via the Google Play Store and may use standard Google services:

• Google Play Services: For core functionality and license verification.

• Google Play Console (Crashlytics/ANR): We may receive anonymous crash reports and performance data provided by Google to help us fix bugs and improve stability. This data does not contain personally identifiable information (PII).

5. Children’s Privacy

LockRealm is a general audience application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove it (although, as stated, we do not store user data on servers).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
