Your Experts

On this page you will find introductions to each of the 'experts' that have volunteered to support Lockdown Learn, with each giving a brief bio to their background and interests. If they use Twitter, you will find their handles next to their name too.

Dr Natasha Stephen (@NatStephen)

Dr Natasha Stephen is a lecturer at the University of Plymouth (Earth & Planetary Sciences) as well as Director of their Electron Microscopy Centre. She did her PhD at Imperial College London (Planetary Geology), and undergraduate at Royal Holloway, University of London (Geosciences), and loves all things space and geology!

Natasha used to teach both GCSE Geography and A-Level Geology part-time whilst in London, and gave a TEDx talk about her research in 2018 (left).

Sophia Choudhary

Sophia is a French and Spanish student who has a love of hockey, good music, and good food. Sophia has spent the last couple of years at the University of Bristol, and is currently working as an English Teacher in the south of France as part of their Year Abroad. Sophia had limited experience teaching before their placement began, so says their heart truly goes out to all those trying to navigate the world of home-schooling at the moment!
