Welcome to my page!
I'm a senior economist at the Trento Branch of the Bank of Italy where I contribute to the analysis of the region's real economy. My research focuses on firms' productivity, foreign trade, market power and access to finance, with a particular interest in regional disparities.
I'm an alumnus of UCL, the Bocconi Community, the Marie Curie Alumni Association and the Marco Fanno Association.
In a previous life... I worked on development economics, travelled extensively, and enjoyed painting. I have a soft spot for self-winding watches and gemstones. I like to pretend I'm a wine connoisseur.
I am married to Giulia. Giacomo, Ettore, and Giovanna (born in 2015, 2017 and 2020) keep us happily busy.
Outside work, I enjoy taking part in my local community in Trento. Since 2024 I’ve been a member of the management board of the Torrione preschool, class representative at the Crispi Primary School, and since 2025 also the school’s parent liaison.
Lately, I’ve been dedicating time to understanding psychology and emotional intelligence, as part of a journey to grow and connect more deeply with others.
