Loïc LE GOFF (ORCID 0000-0003-4114-971X) was trained in soft matter physics and biophysics. He obtained his PhD in the laboratoire Physico-Chimie Curie at Institut Curie, did a postdoc at Rockefeller University in the laboratory of Professor A.J. Hudspeth working on the biophysics of mechanotransduction and mechanical amplification in sound detection in the ear. He was then hired as a CNRS researcher in the laboratory of Professor T. Lecuit at Institut de Biologie du Développement in Marseille where he led a research project on the interplay between growth and mechanics in the Drososphila wing imaginal discs. Le Goff's work at Institut Fresnel is focusing on the link between tissue growth, morphogenesis and tissue mechanics, as well as the development of new imaging modality to image epithelial tissues.
