The Isaac Newton Institute is a premier visitor research institute that conducts research programs on selected themes in mathematics and the mathematical sciences with applications to a wide range of scientific and technological disciplines. It attracts leading mathematical scientists from the UK and abroad to interact in research over an extended period.

The Isaac Newton Institute is located near the Centre for Mathematical Sciences that hosts the
Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics and the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, the two constituent departments of the Faculty of Mathematics. Mathematics in Cambridge has a rich and varied past, a vibrant present, and looks forward to leading ever more diverse and pioneering work in the future.
