Mathematicians and modern probability theorists have shown great interest in the study of random phenomena, processes, and structures in recent years.
This LMS Invited Lectures will feature Prof. Thomas Mikosch (University of Copenhagen), who will deliver 10 lectures on "Extreme value theory for heavy-tailed time series". The lectures are intended for graduate students, PhD students, early-career researchers, and professionals interested in probability, statistics, and their applications.
The lectures will be enriched by additional talks from experts in extreme value theory, offering valuable perspectives from both theoretical and applied perspectives.
The programme will also feature a dedicated poster session, alongside 30-minute contributed talks delivered by PhD students and early-career researchers.

Please note that there are a limited number of slots for 30-minute talks. The Organising Committee reserves the right to evaluate all applications and make a selection if the number of requests exceeds availability. Priority will be given to:
Applications whose subjects are directly related to the LMS Invited Lectures' thematic topic.
PhD students. But postdocs, early career researchers, and professionals are also welcome to apply.
During registration, you will be asked to provide a potential title and abstract for your presentation.
