The media center provides students with free access to books and online databases that promote literacy, lifelong learning, and personal growth. Students will be guided as they discover and use information and technology. Students will be challenged to question, think critically, acquire, evaluate, draw conclusions and share information in a variety of formats. They will use digital tools to construct knowledge, produce creative artifacts and make meaningful learning experiences for themselves and others.
The media specialist and teachers collaboratively design and implement instructional strategies to ensure that students master the critical skills of information literacy.The media center links teachers with techniques and strategies for learning and provides a space for teachers to utilize on a daily basis. Teachers can find curated resources that will assist with topics associated with their units of study and curricula. The center promotes a culture of questioning, information seeking, and discovery with all educators.

The media center will advocate for legal and ethical use of information, technology and resources and guide parents in being "champions" for their child's interests and learning. The center will provide equitable access to information and technology, and provide resources on inclusion and digital citizenship practices. Parents can gather information from our social media posts, tweets and mentions!
The media center sponsors clubs and special events, meets diverse community needs, interests, cultural backgrounds and abilities by managing and giving access to resources that have access to multiple perspectives. We will help located whatever you are looking for wherever it may be!
