Jan McCandless, Ed.D., LPC-S, NCC

Dr. McCandless has spent 17 years as a counselor. This is her 6th year with DeSoto County Schools. She previously worked with children and families in Kentucky, which is where she also received her doctorate in Counselor Education. She works with students at both Lewisburg Middle School and Lewisburg High School, and she LOVES being part of the Lewisburg team! 

Dr. McCandless earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from Delta state University (2003), her Master's of Arts in Counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary (2006), and her Doctor of Education degree in Counselor Education from Eastern Kentucky University (2013). She became a National Certified Counselor in 2008.
