No matter your spiritual gifting and natural talents, we aim to help support one another and serve together as a fellowship of believers here at Lyman Methodist. Please review our upcoming events and partnerships below. We would love to serve alongside you.
Holy Week was made very special by handfuls of students at Byrnes High School this year. A rogue team of student leadership from Byrnes FCA and Byrnes Leadership pulled together and made a memorable 2026 Love Week. A tradition that has been going on for years at Byrnes High School.
All week these students flooded campus with gifts (Chick Fil A biscuits, coffee, donuts, t-shirts, and bracelets) to students as they entered in to school to start each day. Our church had the privilege of playing a small role in supporting these bold students as we were asked to help contribute for donuts and coffee during the week. Keighley Moore discussed the need at our March Outreach Committee meeting and it was a unanimous decision to support their efforts for their Love Week 2026.
The week culminated on Thursday evening with a free meal and message at Lyman Amphitheatre where half a dozen students shared their testimonies with boldness and confidence and testified to the goodness of God in their own lives. Another handful of middle school FCA students shared scriptures, the Roman Road, to create a night of spirit-led worship. Students led worship and the Spirit lingered heavy. Many lives were touched, many prayers were prayed, and one student dedicated his life to Christ at this event.
We are grateful as a church to have a membership that empowers our next generation of leaders for Christ.
Interested in Volunteering at Pathfinder Day Camp? We are having an interest meeting on April 26th during the Sunday School hour. Email Cayce Stackhouse (Cayce@lymanmethodist.org) for more information.
We can partner with missional or outreach efforts in four ways: pray with/for them, give contributions in some way, go visit our mission partner to learn and serve alongside them, and/or receive them here at LMC to strengthen the partnership or mission.
These are all ways to partner, and all are important. However, prayer comes first and sustains our missions. We believe that prayer is the keystone to our missions and outreach ministry. Please continue to pray for the efforts and partnerships listed here as well as the unreached and unchurched people on the horizon.
We now have a Mobilization Team meeting monthly to dive deeply into what it means to be on mission for God and how we at LMC can participate in our greatest privilege and responsibility, making disciple-makers.
Please lift this team up as they continue this work.

Matthew 9:35-38
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest."
