Dr. Hung is Vice Chair for Academic Development at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and a surgeon scientist who specializes in robotic surgery for diseases of the kidney and prostate. His NIH-funded research includes the development of artificial intelligence methods to evaluate surgeon skills assessment and to predict patient-reported outcomes. He currently serves on the American Urological Association’s Research Grants and Investigator Support Committee and New Technologies Committees.
Lena Maier-Hein is a full professor at Heidelberg University (Germany) and managing director of the National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg. Her research division at the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) concentrates on machine learning-based biomedical image analysis with a specific focus on surgical data science, computational biophotonics and validation of machine learning algorithms. She is a MICCAI fellow and ELLIS fellow and serves on the editorial boards of Nature Scientific Data, IEEE TPAMI and Medical Image Analysis.
Dr. Shaoting Zhang is the Vice President and Deputy Head of Research at SenseTime. He also serves as the Head of Smart Health and the Principal Scientist at Shanghai Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. He is on the editorial board of Medical Image Analysis and Neurocomputing, and a senior member of the IEEE. His research interests lie at the intersection of Medical Image Analysis, Computer Vision, and Foundation Models.
Chen Sagiv is an entrepreneur and computer scientist with over 15 years of experience in the image processing industry, having worked extensively in both Israel and the Netherlands. Alongside her role at SagivTech, she collaborates with academic partners across Israel and Europe. Chen holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University, specializing in texture analysis, filter banks, and optimization problems.
