1. INTRODUCTION
The LM Student App ("Student App") provides students with a self-service portal to interact with their registered library, check seat availability, view fee payment status, mark attendance, and discover nearby libraries. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the LM Student App.
By downloading, installing, or using the Student App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect personal information that you provide when registering at a library or within the Student App.
A. Account and Profile Data:
Your display name, email address, phone number, and profile details provided during account setup or obtained via Google Sign-In. Authentication is provided via Google Sign-In to ensure account security.
B. Attendance and Library Activity Data:
Check-in and check-out timestamps, attendance history, assigned seat details, borrowed books, fee payment status, and notification preferences.
C. Location Data:
When searching for nearby libraries on the interactive map, the Student App accesses your device location to show libraries near you. Location data is processed locally on your device to calculate distance and is not continuously tracked, recorded, or saved.
D. Device Identifiers and Notification Tokens:
Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens to deliver push notifications regarding attendance, fee due dates, and library announcements. Advertising IDs used by Google AdMob to deliver advertisements.
3. PERMISSIONS REQUESTED
A. Camera: Used exclusively for scanning library QR codes to check in, check out, or join a library. Camera feeds are processed in real time and no images or videos are stored or transmitted.
B. Location: Used to find nearby libraries on the interactive map.
C. Notifications: Used to receive alerts regarding attendance, fee reminders, and library announcements.
4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND ADVERTISING
The LM Student App incorporates the following third-party services:
- Google Sign-In (Google LLC) for user authentication.
- Firebase Services (Google LLC) for cloud storage (Cloud Firestore), push notifications (FCM), and App Check (Play Integrity security verification).
- Google Mobile Ads / AdMob (Google LLC) for displaying advertisements. AdMob may use device identifiers and advertising IDs to serve ads.
- Google Play In-App Updates (Google LLC) for background application updates.

5. DATA SHARING
Your student profile, attendance logs, and fee records are shared with the administrator or owner of the specific library you have joined. We do not sell, rent, or share student personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. DATA DELETION AND STUDENT RIGHTS
Under Google Play Console guidelines and privacy laws, you have the right to access and request the deletion of your account and personal data.
A. You can delete your account directly from within the Student App settings menu.
B. You can also request data deletion by contacting the administrator of your library or by emailing drillmovies@gmail.com.
C. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be anonymized or permanently purged from our active databases.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The LM Student App is intended for students. If a student is a minor under 18 years of age, parent or guardian consent should be obtained prior to registering in a library. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without appropriate consent.
8. SECURITY MEASURES
All data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS), and data at rest is encrypted using Google Cloud encryption standards provided by Firebase.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revisions will be reflected by the Last Updated date at the top of this document. Continued use of the Student App following updates indicates acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
