To qualify as candidate for school VP, the interested member must have served as a committee chairperson at the school. Additionally, all members of the LMPTA Executive Board must be a paid member of LMPTA. Interested candidates should be sure to review the bylaws and policies and procedures documents.
REPORT OF THE LOWER MORELAND PTA NOMINATING COMMITTEE
As required under By-Laws Article XI: Nominations and Elections, Section 1, A nominating committee composed of THREE (3) members was elected by this local PTA at our regular meeting in February.
a. The committee shall elect its own chair, which for purposes of this election is Elise Kuhar.
b. The nominating committee shall nominate an eligible person for each office to be filled and report its nominees to the general membership in April. Before this election takes place, the president shall call for nominations from the floor.
c. Only those individuals who have met the qualifications as outlined in Article VIII, Line B and who have signified their consent to serve if elected, shall be nominated for, or elected to, such office.
Therefore, I, Elise Kuhar, the Chairwoman of the Nominating Committee shall report to the President as follows:

These positions are for a two-year term commencing July 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2028, except for the following, who will serve a one-year term commencing July 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2027:

Executive Committee co-Treasurer: Amy Wolbransky
There is no nomination at the current time for the following position: Pine Road Co-Vice President. A vacancy in any office other than the president may be filled by a member elected by the executive board. Article VIII: Officers and Duties, Line D.
To inform those in attendance, per the By-Laws Article XI, Section 3. Officers shall be elected in the month of June at the annual general meeting. Thus we ask for the nomination of these officers.

The election of these officers in June shall be conducted by written ballot unless there is only one candidate for office, at which time a voice vote may be held. A majority vote shall be required for election. We request a poll as to whether there are any other nominations and if none are brought forth then a voice vote may be held.
