A 40-year pioneer in the field of Engineering Education, established in the year 1980-81, as KL College of Engineering, upgraded to KLCE, Autonomous in 2006 by UGC. Later it was declared as a Deemed to be University in 2009 by UGC, MHRD Government of India. In 2012 as a Deemed to be University the institution was accredited by NAAC with A Grade and later in 2018, with A++ grade. The University is approved by MHRD-Govt. of India & UGC (Under Section 3 of UGC act 1956) NIRF 2020 Rankings are 41 at University level, 58 in Engineering & 70 in Management level and 70 in Overall Ranking.
DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH
The English Department plays a pivotal role, in the University, by providing the means for students to reach an advanced level of proficiency in communication and also promote greater sensitivity to the literary and cultural traditions of the language in the global context. The Department offers varied courses including UG, PG and PhD. The department has a highly qualified and experienced team that enriches the academic and research ambience. The teamwork and commitment of the faculty enables the department to meet the rising academic and research challenges with confidence and enthusiasm.
