Las Lomas Sideline Cheer Program
Welcome to the 2026-2027 Cheer Season!
Sideline Cheer is the heart of school spirit! We start in July and cheer on our school through football season (August–November) and basketball season (November–February). Our athletes train in stunts and tumbling, perform skill-packed halftime routines, and bring the energy to major events and school rallies. We also give back to our community by running a youth mini clinic that ends with an exciting on-field performance. If you want to build skills, perform at big events, and lead the spirit of our school, Sideline Cheer is the place to be!

SUMMER PRACTICE SCHEDULE (Beginning July 1st)
***Junior Varsity 2 Days a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays 3:30-5:30pm
***Varsity Practices 3 Days a week: Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm, Wednesdays 3:30pm-5:30pm

***Junior Varsity 2 Days a week: Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-5:30pm
***Varsity Practices 3 Days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm
Basketball Season PRACTICE SCHEDULE (Beginning November 12th)
***Varsity and Junior Varsity COMBO Practices 2 Days a week: Tuesday and Thursday 3:30-5:30pm
***Tumbling Practice 4:15-5:30pm (Mandatory for Varsity, Optional for JV)
TRYOUT INFORMATION
May 2026. Hosted in the Small Gym from 4-6pm.
No experience needed, all skill levels welcome!
Athletes will learn a short Dance Routine and will be asked to try different Jump, Tumbling, and Stunt skills. Stunt, Jump, and Tumbling techniques are taught at tryouts & used throughout the season.
Tryout attire: Cheer shoes or Athletic tennis shoes (no Vans, Converse, or Air Forces), black athletic shorts and a black tank top. Hair tied back into a low pony. No acrylics and absolutely no jewelry.

The final Team Roster will be uploaded onto the Tryout Band on the last day of Tryouts.
For athletes that make the team ~ Mandatory Parent/Athlete Meeting and Fitting in room 201 from 6:00pm-8:30pm.

Maintain a 2.0 GPA or higher for the duration of the season

Other important information:
MANDATORY Parent/Athlete Meeting ~ May 2026 after Tryouts. Date TBD, 6:00pm at Las Lomas.
MANDATORY Choreography Day ~ Date TBD, hosted in the Small Gym from 9am-5pm.
Uniform Payment Due no later than May 27th. Uniforms and Warm ups are Mandatory to purchase, and they will come late if not ordered by the requested time.
Jewelry is not permitted and will be asked to be taken out during practices, performances, and games.
SPORTS NET INFORMATION
To register a returning athlete to Las Lomas:
If you used Sportsnet Inc. last year to obtain athletic clearance, this year's process will be even easier. Just use your login from last year and follow the instructions to complete the online process.
To register a new athlete and create a new account:
Go to SPORTSNET.
Click the Create an Account link near the bottom of the screen.
Enter the required information and submit the form.
Log in to the system with your email address and password.
Follow the instructions inside the system.
Before you begin, make sure you have the following information prior to attempting to register your child:
Your child’s AUHSD student identification number.
The exact spelling of your child’s first and last name as it appears in official school records.
A copy of the completed & signed physical exam form you will need to complete the registration process.
Your child’s active health insurance coverage information, including the name of the provider and the policy ID. If you do not have medical insurance coverage for your student, you must purchase Student Insurance. See the District website for an application and instructions. Link
Be sure to carefully read the instructions on each screen and provide all the required information. If you are unable to finish in a single session, the information you have already submitted will be saved and you can log in at a later time to finish.
Important: The school will not receive your submission until you complete the entire process! The process ends with your final electronic signature on the last available screen. Be sure to check your email for a confirmation message after you have finished.
Please be aware that submission of your student’s athletic packet does not grant instant clearance. Once your student is cleared, you will receive a confirmation email from the athletic department clearing your student to try out for athletics.
